Politics and Government
We are very grateful to the State of North Rhine Westphalia and the City of Düsseldorf for their continuous support and their trust over the past 40 years. In return we very gladly accept the responsibility of offering a first class international education to students coming from more than 50 nations. ISD is the only non profit international school in the region. Our students can learn in small classes and their IB Diploma examination results are consistently and systematically above world average.
Besides being authorized by the International Baccalaureate Organization to offer all three of its programs and being recognized by the State of North Rhine Westphalia as an Ersatzschule for grades 1 to 10, ISD is accredited by the Council of International Schools, by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges for more than thirty years.
The Ersatzschulstatus implies that German students in grade 10 take part in the standardized tests in German, English and mathematics to obtain the Mittlere Reife Diploma.
